Very dramatic. I think the light is pretty good on it too. I think your composition will improve by cropping the two intruding buds out that are on the right and then cropping up from the bottom to remove the one bottom right corner.

Sharpness and saturation are up to you but a bit more saturation and bit more sharpness seem to snap the center of the flower nicely I feel the two buds above do take away from the flower, the little areas of foilage in the area below the flower also sneak in. Some of these are very nit picky comments only to offer thoughts and help C&C to you. Those can be tough shots with the flash but you did real well I think.

And Welcome to the forum, we need another couple of flower guys around here

Karl

Oh, by the way, forgot to mention the bonus bug on the flower, very sneaky

Thank you for your comments. I followed your advice and came up with this. I agree with you, its much more pleasing without the distractions and a little more saturation.

That is great! I was just going to post up your shot with those changes and you nailed it Mine was just a bit brighter which brought out a little bit of the greenery below to compliment the green above.

Very nice IMO, see what the others think.

This shot has nothing to do with Flora >> But it's really a Bug Macro Shot

In fact the Bug really over powers the flora >> I barely notice the flower

awweee isn't that sweet Karl and Terry have a new floral friend to play with

Hey it's a great shot of some floral thingee >> I like the second version best.

On a more serious note >> It's GREAT

Anthony
