I agree with Endre - it is a lovely shot. I particularly love the black berries...they are iridescent.

Wonderful shot. Good light modeling on the Apples, especially on the right one. It really shows the roundness. Yes, I too love the dim glow of the blackberries. Was this shot by available window light? My only nit would be that the crop feels just a bit tight for my tastes. Regardless, I agree with Endre--a finalist for sure.

I bet you had a healthy snack when the shoot was over.

Thanks for the nice comments, folks.

As far as the lighting is concerned, it's all fake

Strobe and large softbox camera right and in front, an umbrella camera left and behind for a little fill and to keep the left side of the right apple from falling completely into shadow. Finally, I used a subtractive panel camera left to force the left apple into shadow. I had originally inteded the left apple to kind of echo the right one, but I didn't get what I was after, oh well, sometime I get what I want, sometimes I don't.
