Yeah the 66 Vette (shot #2) was the fastest qualifier that night, but he crossed the centerline in the final round and was atomatically disqualified. It is a beautiful car... many with all that color look like crap, but this one is so artfully done.
Terry congrats on some great pics. They really do jump at ya, in a good way for mine. I'd buy that body in a heartbeat but my hobbies don't cover a camera at the 5 & 1/2 thou mark in Oz. Hmmmmmmmm, more overtime.......
Hi Kev... listen mate... don't wait till you can afford it, cause I've NEVER been able to afford them... you figure out a way to make it happen. But I'm 62 and JUST got a D3.
But at age 62 and now a right foot now missing due to an accident that wasn't my fault........I have learned that God doesn't go by the overtime/money thing...... you have to use the things that you have to your best ability while you have them.
I've done a lot in my lifetime, but I never saw this coming at me.... If I had, you can bet that I would have been even MORE intense at the things that I've loved doing (like shooting motor sports) that involve walking, running, hiking and recording all the beauty that the earth has to offer.
It is killing me that there is an NHRA National Drag Event going on ONLY 10 minutes from my home RIGHT AS WE SPEAK ( I can hear every pass they make ) and I can't deal with the crowds and all the walking that it requires.
As the saying goes... Life waits for no man... and they weren't kiddinig.
So Kev... as a fellow traveler, get want you want (or can afford), go where you want to go while you can and enjoy EVERY second that you are given... oh... and take lots of great pictures.
I hope you take this in the spirit that it was intended... not a lecture, some sage advise.
