Recently I have tried Onone Phototools 1.0 and created portrait where skin has color and overall image is B&W.
Now I cannot repeat it because I do not remember how I did it. Please help.
Thank you in advance for your help.
mic37 that technique is most often done with two layers. One layer is color and the second layer is b/w. Masking is then used to restrict what shows through to the top layer. For example, if the color layer is on top, then in your case, the entire color image would be masked, except the skin portion. Hope that will bring things back for you. -Art
Art,
Thanks for your respond. I am familiar with this technique.
I was looking for an automated tool to convert a color photo to black and white, except for one object in the photo which is made to stand out by keeping it in color. I had a chance to try Phototools at my friend’s house on his PC and I did try the conversion of a portrait to black and white.
Somehow I did a black and white portrait where the person’s skin is in color. I was amazed it took only 5 minutes but I was not able to repeat the steps day later.
I believe the conversion I have described above can be automated with Phototools.
