Who knows? Just reading the specs suggest it's intriguing. There are no other competitors to the plasticky and somewhat dated 50/1.4AF-D. If this is sharper wide open and out to the corners on FF, that would be a reason to have it. If however it has the "Sigma cast" of a warming filter built in, then.... yuck.

Well everyone has been clamouring for it on Nikon primes for ages for fast noiseless focussing . It also means it's AF on the D40/60 series cameras, which is a good thing.

humm, quieter would be good. the d200 motor is a bit noisy with af-d lenses.
