Beautiful photos. And I have to disagree with your comment above. In my opinion, tubes certainly provide real macro, as you have shown, and are a better solution for many compared to having dedicated macro lenses.

Wow, great images. I bought the 105 macro but have yet to really try and use it much. I just received my Sandisk rebate in a stupid check form so I have to spend it at Adorama (send in the wrong form). I have no idea what I wanted to buy as I'm pretty set on all I need - Now tubes could be a great idea.
Please share which tubes you used as well as any macro tips you used to shoot these. I assume tripod mount - any flash or are these all natural light?
