p.1 #1 · Monarch of the Glen

Hello all,

Was in the Highlands of Scotland last month in wintry conditions (for the UK that is). The deer had come down from the mountains and were all feeding in the valleys, and in some cases not far from the country roads. Took some nice captures, here's one which I liked the most.

Comments always appreciated.

regards, Mirza

I would have liked to see the entire "crown" or whatever it's called....

Past that lovely

Great composition. Never thought one could impart this much feeling with a picture of a deer but you have done it....

Wow I really like this. It gives a great feeling in my opinion.

Agreed with Lil about the antlers being cut off. That's okay, the cool BG makes up for some of it

Same goes for me as far as the antlers are concerned, but other than that I really like the image. Great composition with the mountains in the background.

Many thanks to everyone for the comments. Agree that the "chopped off" antlers do detract from the whole though.
