Great work as always. I've seriously in years never seen a bad photo posted on this forum or on your blog.

Questions would be... how did you light these? I appears, possibly natural light during the middle of the day?

Just a guess.

Beyond that, some great channel work and dodging and burning perhaps?

Great work man... simply great.

Great job Ray. Absolutely wonderfull shots. I am curious also about the lighting of the second image. The light seems to be coming from above but there is a shadow missing of her on the wall. Care to give some insight into the setup?

Regards,

Marnix

These are cool. The levels seem a touch too low to me but that may be the way you wanted them.

solid work. Catches the eyes. Slightly dark on my monitor but I adds to the mood.

Thank you, Tim. You're too kind!

Available light only. Left side is in shade and right side is in full sun.

Thank you, Marnix! She's right up against the wall, so the shadow is not very visible.

Britt,

I wanted the dark look but in a calibrated monitor, it should not be too dark.

Been looking at this all day on and off, trying to make my mind up... I like it on the whole, but there is something about the contrast in the image that bothers me... on my calibrated screens it does not look dark, but there is not enough contrast... well in some areas yes, but I get a grey feeling when looking at the image... especially the top part of the left side...

Regards, Nathan

I purposely toned down the highlights on the left image and left it with just a hint of contrast. So I agree with you 100%.

There's quite a bit more contrast on the right hand side due to direct sun.

Thanks for the input Nathan. I appreciate that.
