I like this idea! The shoes at the end definitely add interest.
I might suggest increasing both the color saturation and the contrast a bit.

I like this crop a lot better. The composition is terrific. I agree with Carrol, that you could up the saturation and contrast a bit, but still very nice as it is. Good luck this week.

At first I didn't see the shoes. Maybe a closer crop would've helped. The beauty of the scene offsets the potential tragedy of the theme. Nicely done.

Hi Jouko! I like the bleakness, and the serenity, both. I don't think it's sad...I think the owner of the shoes has just taken a 'dip' at the end of a long day and will soon be back to retrieve them. At least, I hope so.
