p.1 #1 · Aussie white cockatoos

A big flock of these Sulphur Crested Cockies have been arriving in my neoghbours paddock just near where I live. I shot these in late afternoon into the setting sun. I'll have to get closer next time.

Both shots uncropped, although I did get creative in #1 by adding a few extra chooks from other shots in the sequence, and working the otherwise boring background.

1. They were just feeding in the grass when they suddenly become spooked by something and all took off.

2. One bird took off and circled toward me. Yay for the fast focus of the MkIII.

So many of them. Great shot. The 2nd shot with backlit bird and the sun-rays is my favorite of the two.
