p.1 #1 · Splitting El Skyport output?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can relate the ins and outs of splitting the ouptut of Elinchrom Skyport receivers?

I've read (on Flash Zebra's site) that the sync voltages should be the same. Is this all there is to it? Can two 580EXII's be damaged by plugging them both into the same receiver?

Thanks

Important Cautionary Note: If these are used on Pocket Wizards or Skyports, they should only be used when the sync Voltages of the connected devices are similar, and below the sync Voltage specification limits for the Pocket Wizard (200 Volts) and Skyport (50 Volts).

I don't know. But I do know that if the flashes are close Wein Peanut flash slaves work great, even outdoors. I did use the flash slaves sold by Flashzebra and they would not work outdoors.

Thanks Richard

For anyone else interested, found some interesting info about doing similar with PocketWizards:

Ed's light stick uses a similar splitter for the output from a PW...triggering a SB28 and a SB26 I believe...

Not sure whether that has anything to do with anything, but seems like a similar concept.
