shot with the markIIn and 70-200 2.8 at 200mm, I was standing prettty close.
I just started doing bird photography a while ago, and I think this is my favorite so far.
Very nice shot, looks like a house finch to me. While not technically correct, for whatever that means, I like the dance of light and shadows on the bird. Maybe if the eye caught the light better it would be a better shot. Still you should be happy with this. 200mm even happier! It's nice and sharp, great detail, good job.
Great shot and I really like the color and BG. Looks like there's quite a bit of background noise and could stand for a round of Noise Removal...........

I guess I'm lucky this bird was sort of brave or I wouldn't have got this shot. I could see him staring at me literally five feet away.
