Absolutely beautiful set! Overall, I like 1, 3, 6, 7, and 9 the most. I like how you do something a little different, but still keep a traditional feel to the portraits. This is a great approach to pushing the envelope a little with a timid bride who may not know exactly what her style is or what she really wants. The set has an Old World/European feel that I really like. Where did you shoot? I especially like your PPing...just enough to create a strong statement, but not overwhelming in any means (many people go too far with PPing). I especially like the warmth in the colors of the photos, and you do have a great balance of color. The soft focus, again, is just enough to create a feminine, elegant feel, but not overwhelming. Just a few points:
- the photo is tilting to the left a little. Try some lens correction filter/perspective correction to see if this helps. Gorgeous photo though!
- I don't mean this in a bad way, but a good way. It has a wintery, Edward Scissorhands feel to it; I'm referring to the love story part of the movie. The colors really invoke a wintery feel, but the subtle warmth of the flowers and vignette evokes the romance part of it. Watch the movie and look at the colors and cinematography...you'll see what I mean. It's great how you can take something cold and make it warm and romantic. I love the contrast in mood in this portrait.
- this pose is kind of odd, but probably because I like to see some of the bride's face in my portraits...this is probably something in my taste. Like the wall color.
- try rotating this 90 degrees counterclockwise; I think it will be a stronger picture. My eyes strain to focus on the subject as it is.
- Simple and beautiful; like the added high-key PPing.
- good balance (not color, overall balance) and especially the flowing veil
- not enough bride in the picture; seems like you're focusing more on the architecture.
- I would have liked to see at least one photo of her running to make the series stronger. This is more of a "get ready, set, go" bride series.
