p.1 #1 · Web conversion problem

Hi Guys
I have recently changed over to CS3 from CS2 and I am having a problen with colours on my web conversions.
I do all my editng in AdobeRGB color space, and then convert (via convert to profile) to sRGD before sending over the web. (Monitor is calibrated) The problem I seem to be having at the moment is that after converting, and viewing via my site, or I.E. the skin tones seem to have saturated on the reds/magents for some reason....i'm a bit lost as to why.....but it seems that the smaller I save the file (<30k as opposed to >100k) the less of a problem the 'saturation' becomes.
...any guidance for things to check would be appreciated.
