Very good details and for a handheld shot this is excellent.

What focal length were you using on each shot?

Thanks.

I'm with Chad, I really like the last one, good job on getting the bird in focus. They look a little soft, are they hand held?

#1 is small and soft, but #2 is nice and sharp. Maybe play with some crops to strengthen #2 and get the GBH off center - some off the bottom, some off the right? Good catch on the last one - an unusual shot in the sea of grass. Looks good.

Nice - I like # 2 best, but # 3 is a great job of focusing in the reeds! I have a bigma that I'm trying to get the hang of myself. Man - it's HEAVY

thanks everyone, Yes they are all handheld, most think wide open or stoped won one stop, at 500mm. the last one is handheld, and MF. On the second one I had to take it slow and creep up on him, took about 45 min to get close enough. Had a great day. Going to go back soon again. Overall very happy with the new glass.

Anyone that live in the Surrey or Vancouver area that wants to go take some photos of birds or nature would be great. I always shoot solo I find it easier but always great to meet new people.

Brad Fyffe

Pm me if you would like to go take photos
