Thanks bud, BTW the second is 90% full frame with the 300mm. Looks like you and Koby are enjoying a nice quite New Years, we are doing the same.

Wow, that second one is particularly stunning with the background colors and the steel color of the dove.

Cool.

Gary,
These are stunning! I see images that look like they can't be any better, and then you come and raise the bar again! Awesome man, just awesome!

Oh no, I don't want to buy a 600 too...

Excellent shots, nice colors. I like the first one better I think, beautifully matched colors between the dove and the background.

Thanks Anders, remember the 2nd was shot with only a 300mm and is almost a full frame.

Yeah that lowly D100, I am surprised that it can even take a picture. Thanks bud, better light would have helped the details a little bit though.

What makes the series great is the cleaness. Then, the details in the midtones become very effective.

The first one is amazing, that bokeh is really cool, the second one is magnificent, that background color really makes it pop. Great shots bud, two thumbs up
Happy New Year to you and your family.

Larry Responds: Looks like you raised the camera, not the bar! You raised the camera, did some absolutely excellent framing and 'control fiddling', and fired off two more beauties. I'm just amazed.

Composition!Composition!Composition!

You take a common bird and make it a work of art. The bokeh, color, and clarity are superb.

Excellent work!
