I like this concept of old technology. I wonder if it might add a bit more interest if the title of the record could be seen (sometimes even the titles are entertaining). I also think that it might be better to have the focus on the needle instead of the side of the "arm".
All in all this is a nice shot, and a good take on the assignment.
