p.1 #1 · Peacocks flying

I devised a cunning plan today to get my birds to fly. A battle of wits between photographer and bird - a rather uneven one according to Elizabeth.

I would take some seed to the other side of the dam, call them, and they would fly over. It took one smart alec to discover that it was easier to walk, and the others followed.

Birds 1, Photographer 0.

Some fast thinking required. (Elizabeth says I think too much, but not to be too disheartened.) They are happier flying toward the house, so I went back to the other side, called them, and over they flew.

5. I know, the crop at the top is too tight. It's not my fault.

Incredible images, way to out-think these cunning birds, and this is sure a sight one does not see every day!

Wonderful - - Congratulations Charles.

How amazing to be able to call peacocks & have them fly to you. Keep at it - we expect more shots.

Thanks for the comment, Laura. Peacocks may not be big in the brain department, but it was about 20 against 1!

Thanks for the generous comment, Lil. And I will try more in future. Good opportunity to perfect my camera technique - such as it is!

Thanks for stopping by and the comment, Colin. Yes, she is perceptive, and what's more, she can read my mind. If I posted an unauthorised photo of her, my life would not be worth living.
