Ok I give up!!! I have no sidewalks in the desert Fred! What, me go out in the world and shoot are you serious? I think anybody who submits to this assignment should be in the finals!
Well, for lack of anything better I could come up with, this will have to do.
Dude, this shot works for me. I actually thought of a similar idea, with snow instead of sand. One problem, the snow here is frozen over with a layer of ice
Glad I went with a different idea after seeing your usual highly imaginative and technically precise entry.
Another brilliantly creative shot, Mike, my friend! Since you always manufacture your own props anyow, I would haved thought you would have had no problem creating your own sidewaik in the absence of one. Still, this is wonderful work. How did you do it? The footprints seem to be inversed - as in embossed - rather than depressed into the sand. Great work!

All best wishes,
Endre
Hey Endre, Take a look again, now thier inset. Neat trick huh? Footprints shot with side lighting always seem to give that optical illusion I know. Yea pal with all this sand I was going to mix my own concrete but I was afraid it wouldn't set by Tuesday Without giving it away, I never did said they were my footprints
What a beautiful image, Mike! From the thumbnail I thought you'd found some concrete someone had walked on (dogs always like to do that). It's a great image; and that you shot it inside is even more impressive.
Its like those 3D pictures with all the dots and hidden images we used to stare at, one minute its embedded the next its embossed, seriously clever entry and all down to your, yet again, superb lighting.

I like this shot, I would call it a foot path, a sidewalk can be a wooden path in the marsh or your foot path all the same as a sidewalk its only made from different material. I was going to use the wooden path at the marsh but its covered with water from the rain here.

Thanks guys! Now here is the kicker. It was all set up and shot indoors.
Ha! When I saw the new assignment I actually thought of you - since all the shots I've seen of yours are taken indoors, I thought, "Okay, Mike will have to actually go outside for this one!."
It's been raining for the past four days here... and still going! I don't know if I'm going to pull anything off this week or not.

Mike, I'm glad to see that you're human like the rest of us and have five toes on each foot I have to say, however that you consistently rise above most of us when it comes to producing quality images. This is no exception.

Thank god for well designed GI-Joe action figure feet huh Carrol.. Oops did I give something away?
Great idea and well shot as usual. I wanted to lay down some sand and put a crab on it for Sidewalk !!
She who must be obeyed soon put an end to that.
Dont withdraw it please as its originality deserves that it should go through. Without the likes of yourself and others thinking outside the box the forum could become a more boring place.
Take care and dont hit delete please
