Is there a bug with the custom avatar upload? I thought I knew what I was doing but I get an error that the file is too large. So I gave up on a new avatar but now the old, custom avatar that I have had for a over a year is too large. Hmmmm.

I am not sure what the difference is but I opened my new, custom avatar in an old editing program and decreased the quality of the jpeg and now it seems to work fine. If I decreased the quality in CS3, of the same avatar, I could never get the file small enough

Silly me , Fred. I had accidentally switched from ' View Gallery ' to ' View Thumbnail ' ; the latter hides the text that is visible in the ' View Gallery ' mode.

I noticed that escaping special characters seems to be a bit screwy, at least in displaying thread titles in lists. Here's an example (pop up to view it in the list of threads): http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/664401
It is probably happening because the truncation routine occurs before escapement. A simple swap of the function calls should fix it.

I think this must be more user error (my chair-keyboard interface), but I'm not sure where else to ask...
I used to be able to post images by pointing to an image of mine on my website. I can't seem to figure out how to do that now. I seem to remember a button about adding a frame to an image, or something like that.

Right-click on your image. Copy and paste the URL of the image into your message-board post. It's as simple as that.

Had this same problem as well....actually 2 PMs were completely lost and only became aware of it when I checked my outbox

That should not happen at all.
Once you send a PM, the recepient should get it instantly. What makes you think this is happening? Please let me know.
