The deep colours are very beautiful. But I have a reservation or two: I also like it better with a bit cropped off the bottom, and I think the moon is just too close to the edge. Wonderfully atmospheric in any case.
I don't think I've seen colors like these on this site before, Hugh That border helps bring out the richness... I'd probably clip the left side just to take out the distracting light.
I like the aleatoric nature of the artificial and natural light as it falls on this deeply saturated night time canvas. A beautiful mood; but also containing a restless energy.
Hello Martin,
Thanks for commenting - sorry the elements are not more definite, but I appreciate the compliments and the opportunity to learn a new word .
At the time, in hearing of the waves breaking on the jetty, the energy was there. Glad it came through and that you enjoyed the image.

This one doesn't work as well as your others for me. The colors are great, as always, but I feel the lights - the points of attraction - are too scattered. The moon almost off the edge, not quite enough of the dock, and various other bright points scattered about seem to lose me. That is of course my opinion, but I hope you find it helpful - I always appreciate the colors you come up with on those early mornings!
Hello Floris,
Thanks for commenting. I appreciate all feedback. Sorry this one misses the mark a bit, but glad the color was enjoyable.

Hello Zeph,
Thanks for commenting and for the suggestion. The color is typical of the time before the light comes up enough to dilute it. It's seldom seen because the long exposures in the near dark usually result is more noise than is acceptable for posting. The Phase 1 back and Neat Image have mostly solved that problem. Glad you enjoyed this result.
You have always been on the edge and so is your Moon! Everything else is classic you.
Best,
Jose
Hello Jose',
The placement of the moon was a compromise between not having it at all and not 'tilting' the pier railing. In any event, thanks for commenting. Glad you enjoyed the result.
