You have some interesting shots here and I would view them as part of a series. Guidelines suggest you only start one thread per day and I think grouping these images together (actually I'd suggest a max of 3) for critique and comparison would be appropriate.
I think you have a great subject. Loss of shadow detail is hurting the images and it is worth experimenting with different crops, as others have suggested. Shadow/highlight tool is your friend. I'm not sure how well pop-up flash would have helped; you might have then had to remove some reflections in the windows.
I think BW conversion or toned image is worth playing with as well. However, your color image illustrates some loss of tonal range in the conversion above. You might try experimenting with different color filters with BW conversion to preserve a broader tonal range across the hood of the car, for example. Or a bit of curves work, masked over the windows, to provide increased contrast between the rusts and greens. I'm not at home to see how close those points might fall, so I'm not as confident in that approach as the filters. What is your technique for BW conversion? Which program?
