Hi there,

Im in the process of trying to foward my GoDaddy domain name of http://www.timaustinimages.com to my zenfolio site which currently is http://www.austin.zenfolio.com. I went to the "foward" tab on the GoDaddy site and entered http://www.zenfolio.com. I have a feeling this is not correct and i was meant to stick in the austin.zenfolio.com name instead. Is this correct? Im a real novice at this and im struggling to understand how this works. I can't experiment unfortunately , as it seems there will be several hours before the changes filter though the net and i can try something else (does anyone know how long it takes?).
Anyway if anyone could help that would be much appreciated

Yes, you need to forward it to austin.zenfolio.com. I'm not sure how GoDaddy redirects it but make sure they're giving you a permanent redirect (301), not a temporary (302 or 307). Google will penalize your PR if you have a domain on a temp redirect for too long, AFAIK.

Thanks for your help everybody. I think I've got it all sorted. I waited a couple of hours and i was able to correct the fowarding address. It is also a permanent direct i believe. Thanks again!
