Lightroom! A lot of people (like me) just starting editing were afraid of curves and everything else in Photoshop, but with Lightroom's development sliders...it's made it so easy for me.
I definitely prefer how many more sliders there are in LR than in Aperture.
I just started using lightroom and so far I'm impressed. I used photoshop years ago and have found it hard getting back into it after such a long time off. I should say that I am not intimidated by software, but that I find photoshop very complicated and I think the differences between layers and mattes and masks and all that stuff has never been explained plainly to make people comfortable with those advanced editing concepts. Anyway, I really like the little bit that I've learned in lightroom. Also, I understand that lightroom can't replace photoshop, so I am still working in both and looking forward to learning more as well.
i've used photoshop for a couple of years now and am just getting into lightroom.
am i the odd one here when i say that i'm overwhelmed with lightroom? i kind of preferred the simple interface of doing raw conversion with ACR converter in PS.
when using lightroom my files in the library come out all unsorted when i import them, and there are so many buttons and sliders and not enough image space for me. it made me realise that's probably how old folks feel when confronted with new technology!
so yes, i ran back to photoshop and bridge to manage my files..and i will probably have to RTFM for lightroom again.
