You have the opportunity to choose the winner for Assignment 284: "Sweet". Although all of the entries showed good potential and the choice was very hard to make, I took several factor into consideration, including image quality, subject matter, relevance to the assignment, and creativity just to name a few.
First, second and third winners will be posted at the forum portal.
Please cast your vote. (Random order) - Refresh the page if an image does not show up (F5)
Its been such a long time, I don't even remember how it feels!! I am just glad I did something right for a change and really appreciate the opportunity from Fred along with all the great comments and friends here. Thanks and good luck to you all.
I have admired the work of so many people in this list that i imagined the only way id get here was when they all went on holiday together.
Good luck to all.
Mark
Hey Fred, just something that has been bugging me for a while now. In the sticky post, it always says that all the entries showed potential but "i took many FACTOR into consideration. If you would like to use correct grammar ( i know, because i just finished verb-direct object agreemennt) you would use FACTORS. Took factor is not correct. took factors is. Sorry if you think this picky, just have nothing to do, nowhere to go, nothing to buy, so hopefully you will change this and i will have out my newfound grammar skills to good use. Thanx a bunch, and have a great day, bye!

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...you should re-read your own post.

Why, i dont see any grammar errors except "thanx", but that was purposeful... Should i reread it because it is amazingly superb in a variety of ways, including grammar, sentence variety, and style, so superb that it deserves to win the Nobel Peace prize, because it is such a soothing paragraph that is has made all the evil people in the world realize that peace is good? Or am i wrong...
Oh btw, sorry Jason, youll get it next time fo sho. Dont let 2 votes bruise your ego... Hey, its better than not being a finalist at all. OK, is this making you feel any worse, because i hope it isn't, as the point of this post was to make you feel better...not that you have anything to feel bad about...ah screw it, my attempts at making one feel better never seem to work...

Sadly, Kanon Kid, there are quite a few grammar errors in your post! Take your sentence: "If you would like to use correct grammar ( i know, because i just finished verb-direct object agreemennt) you would use FACTORS."
Technically you need to use the past simple tense in the first clause: 'If you wanted". i.e. if + past + conditional. It's called a second conditional. So it should look something like this: "If you wanted to use correct grammar, you would use 'factors'."
The sentence beginning " Sorry if " needs a subject in the second clause - i.e. "I just have nothing to do [...]" But technically that's a split infinitive, so "it's just that I have nothing to do" would be better.
"Took factor is not correct. took factors is." This needs a semi-colon or a hyphen, not a full-stop.
I think there's a difference between grammatical mistakes and simple typos, as in Fred's case. We all do typos on the web.
hth. It's great that you're interested in studying grammar.
