I like the greasy duck! Scrub jays just facinate me. I have these guys in my postage stamp back yard. They are quite the characters. I love how they try to fit as many nuts in their mouths as they can. Great job on them. Keep them coming. Maybe we can have a scrub jay war! Jeez I need a better background..
talking about a mouth-full on #5 huh? 1 thing i'm wondering how come he has a tag on its left leg? was he tagged and released or something?
Good shots...and I love the pose on #2
Beautiful captures, Steve. I particularly like the detail in # 3. I also believe that the bg in # 4, and 5 is not really detracting from the subject for some reason. The last shot is too cool.
Socrate
Steve, you have a very expressive scrub jay there, and I love the expressions you captured. #3 is my favorite becuase I like the background best in that one. Thanks for chasing the jays around and posting these pictures!

Thanks Tim, That was a slick duck! I don't get to see many Jays - they do seem a little greedy! Steve W

Socrate, Thank you for the nice comments. The background in 4 and 5 was the lunch bush for the jay. I deleted a half dozen of the fellow behind that background! Steve W
