Thanks. I find Chickadees to be the most photogenic birds around, they don't seem to mind me at all. Those are bobwhite that showed up under my girlfriends rabbit cage (most likely from the local hunting reserve).
Those chickadees don't sit still for long! Some nice shots here. 4 is my favorite but 5 would be, what wonderful color, if there wasn't that stick in front.

4 , 5 , and 6 look like Norther Bobwhite Quail to me.
Nice shots and I really like the quail pics > Difficult subject to get close to in my experience.

Quail are extremely difficult to shoot, but since these bobwhite were most likely raised and released by man they seemed much more tame than a wild bobwhite. The hunting reserve is about an 1/8 mile away, so a lot of the 'targets' (quail, chuckar, ringnecks) end up on or around my property. So I cant take complete credit for accomplishing otherwise difficult shots of a very allusive bird
