A colourful winter visitor after a new snowfall.
I am new to the forum and still working on proper resizing for a post. Hope this one works ok. C&C appreciated.
Thanks Tim , I am a long time birder and amateur photographer trying to get some degree of competence in photography. Most of the posts on this site are so incredible it is a little intimidating to even consider posting a pic. I'm still having some problems in the resizing and the colours for a post. The print of the photo is much brighter, and clearer with a lot more contrast between the red and the white . I have a long way to go so thanks for your encouragement . Alan
Nice shot, Alan. I was a little intimidated at first, too. But I thought I'd put a few photo's up for critique, and maybe learn what I'm doing wrong (and occassionally, right!), and also in the hopes that some of the really good shooters might cough up a secret or two.
Actually, I have the opposite problem as you. The images look fine on the monitor, then when I print them out they often look washed out and lack contrast. I think we both need to invest in a Spyder or some other calibrater.
