Personally I think somewhere between the two would be best. I love the smooth feel of the first one, but just not quite dark enough. The latter has a little to much contrast for me
I like both, leaning towards the first. I'd like to see how it works in a more traditional landscape crop, with less of the bottom, but the image has plenty of interest as is.
The photo is snow. The crop i use for the contest tends to be square due to the small pixel count allowed (640 max). My computer screen tends to be a little bright so I often make things too dark. Iwill redo in between and repost on the WA.
