I can tolerate 30 mph winds, but the wind chill on this fine Feb. 10 morning is -40°. Brrrr! C & C welcome.--Frank

Nice take Frank, this view reminds me of a small airport where I first jumped from a perfectly good airplane...I didn't heed the sock on that first jump and was dragged 100 yards..I digress...well done

Hi Frank,

An interesting choice for this WA and I love how you have set off the bright red sock against the blue sky. I might prefer a crop just from the top 2/3 that leaves out the airport, which I don't think adds much, but I like your framing as well. Good luck this week.

Great idea in it's simplicity. Great contrast of red on the blue sky.

Great entry,
Chad

Frank - Great color and composition! And very fitting for this assignment!
(Additional points for getting shots in sub-zero temps.)

Wow, Brr! is right. I don't know how you got this shot! The red against blue is striking and I really like how the top part of the pole is bending. A stark and cold scene.

Thanks, Steve. I also took a tighter shot, so I understand your point; but Istayed with this version.--Frank

Several have commented about the crop, and I appreciate the suggestion. A tighter crop just seemed too severe to me. Thanks.--Frank

Thanks, Carrol! You know, my hand and face were very cold after spending just those few seconds getting this shot.--Frank

Thanks, Jamie, for your perceptiveness and kind comment. I though, with the bent pole, that the photo may look a bit angled off horizontal, but you saw that the pole was actually bent.--Frank

Frank,

Love that punch of RED! Work great for me. I really like the diagonal line of the lamp posts. They lead you right into the shot. Good luck this week.
