p.1 #1 · L size@low quality or M size@high quality?

Just picked up a 1Ds2 and it's got more resolution than I need for a sporting event tomorrow. I have to upload hundreds of images, so I want to keep my files sizes to a minimum - most photos sales are 8x10 or smaller.

Don't have time to experiment before the event, here are my two options:

- Shoot size L images (4992x3328) and JPEG quality 3 (3.9MB)

- Shoot size M images (3600x2400) and JPEG quality 8 (3.2MB)

Anybody know which would look better when printed 8x10?
(I'm guessing the more compressed L size would, based on the file size.)

Go for the higher jpeg quality.

Lower resolution, but top JPEG quality (lowest compression). You'll have more room to correct colour, exposure, and you should be able to print 8x10". A hi res, hi compression file will just be a large mb smudge, if you see what I mean.
