Really interesting shot. I am surprised you could get you cat to stand so close to the candle. It looks almost like he/she is carrying it to look about. A very intriguing shot. Good luck this week.
Very nice, I like the the reflected flame in your cat's eye. Was she meowing? I think it adds a creepy element, kind of like a spooky cat. I like it. Good luck!

Thanks Steve....the cat was about 3 inches behind the candle. This cat will bat his paw at the vacuum cleaner on the way by!

Thanks Dan.... I liked the lighting on the face from the candle....and i thought spooky also. I shot this in broad daylight (hence the F11)

you got your cats so trained. I am so shocked that she would stand there for the shot. Very soft but nicely done

Well Steve......I waited until it was dinner time for the little critter, then set one piece of food on the far side of the candle. After he got the piece he looked up (repeatedly) and cats will sometimes freeze if you wiggle your finger in front of them in such a situation.
I had him still for maybe 4 shots out of 15. I kept the focus hard on the candle as that's the WA this week
Thanks for the comments

Hey Peter, good luck in the finals this week. Glad you were chosen. Does your cat get a commission? I have to think about how I can use my cat with the theme 'wind.'
