I am curious if anyone on here has ever purchased anything from Magnum (www.magnumphotos.com). There are quite a few prints I would like to purchase from them, but just wanted to know if anyone has.
Yes they have prints for sale (although not everyones prints are for sale, what I wouldn't do to buy one of Bresson's prints). But still, you have quite a big selection from any one of their many photographers. This is their claim:
Our modern prints are made on request and verified by each photographer or representing Estate. Prints are made with high quality archival paper and are available in different formats. Prints are signed and/or come with the estate stamp of the photographer. Several of our photographers produce prints in limited editions and in some cases specific sizes. The searchable portfolios below offer an introduction to Magnum’s extensive archive. Others can be searched for and viewed using the website’s main search facility. All requests should be directed to our print sales staff below who will be able to advise you of their availability.
Has anyone actually known this to be true? What kind of pricing are we talking about here?
