I have a new bride who wants to use her engagement images within a guest sign-in
book...I guess the pics would be on the left side facing a blank sign in page with lines on it. I don't have any problem with designing it, but who would produce a book that has writeable paper in it?
Vision Art is our favorite for this. fast turnaround too
a popular way to do this is to shoot a lot of nice horizontals and use a gradient in Photoshop to make the photo as a dual page spread go from full color to paper white by the end page so you can write directly on the picture so to speak.
I use Zookbooks for these ones, as they are small and fairly inexpensive. I wouldn't use Asuka as the pages don't lay flat, but I use Asuka for my regular books though.
I use a flush mount page with protective coating. A scripto fine point works and does not smear. Not a fancy pen but it gets the job done. Tuscany makes a low cost one but cheap looking cover. I prefer a leather cover 10x7 from Leather Craftsmen.
Look at WHCC press printed books as well as sharedink (photographers program) books. Both are very inexpensive and have decent quality. We offer these standard and upgrade to Vision Art.
