The third time is a charm, well this is the third chance to photograph the bird. I am starting to get better shots with my equipment. The bad thing on this time, was as I was watching him he dove to the ground and grabbed a mouse. Then flew back up to the wire, I should have let him settle into his meal a bit. But I started to back up my truck towards him, and he flew off with the mouse, next time.
This was taken with the Canon 1D Canon EF 400mm f/5/6 L [ Monkey crap ] in raw, converted to jpeg , resized to 5x7 and run usm on it.

Thanks Will, one thing I feel I learn about photography is, that it can be "EFH", exciting, frustrating and humbling. They can all raise their head at any time, and in no particular order.
