As part of our overland trip, we spent a few nights in the Ngoro Ngoro Crater - its magical. As its a crater, its very difficult for the animals to escape from there, as the walls are quite steep.
Please ignore the horizons on some of these - I know they are not straight. I need to work on that

The 3 lionesses had a failed stalking attempt on a warthog. They now come across a massive hippo who does not want to be disturbed ! The lionesses were hungry !!!!

This is the biggest lion I have seen in my life !! Surprisingly it was outside the crater as we were going in. At first we saw one, then another joined him, and then there were 3 of them (our guide said that they were brothers who had just left their pride). It was about 6am at this time and very foggy, so focusing was not as easy as it should have been

Great series pareet - especially your documentation of the lions with the hippo. That first male lion shot is very nice - I like the the effect of the fog - gives it a mystical aura and reminds me not to walk through the woods over there...
