the McSparrows are now pretty much history. The landscape workers took
out the tree that they perched on. Re-processed up an old one to make a
desktop for myself.

Nice profile of the house sparrow Dave. We have a small flock hanging thru the winter up here. What no Green Heron for a desktop Herb

Too bad about the McSparrows Dave. I enjoyed those. The one you have here is excellent in every way. Love the blue BG too. I guess you'll just have to see what Hardee's has to offer. Are there no Gulls at the Burger King down there? They just love the fries at our BK. Sometimes they even get lucky with a partial Whopper,

Rather breathtaking for such a common bird, Dave. Have you considered filing a complaint over the habitat destruction

A striking image, Dave. Tack sharp, with great colors and an exquisite use of DOF. Great work as usual.

Wow Dave. That is a very impressive shot. So clean, crisp - the sparrow just pops right off the screen.

So sorry to hear they took away the perch from you. I always look forward to your posts, McSparrows or not. Lovely shot, as always, Dave.

That is the nicest sparrow I have ever seen - wow! Hey, maybe you can get some Arby's finches or Carl's doves. Steve W

Beautiful shot Dave. One suggestion: Closing time at MickeyDs, some baling wire, and a few dead branches and you'll be right back in business.

Hey come on Dave I figure a guy like you would have gone in and threatened to spill hot cofee in your lap if they didn't replace the tree for you. OUCH

I like sparrows too Dave, wanna start a sparrow club
Nice capture of a fine species, you know what I like most about them, they eat very little so they don't cost much to feed and they breed like crazy, my kind of bird

Dave -
Very striking image of a bird that is so common. I like the pose (hinting at a little tension in the body ready to spring), the composition, sharpness, and the great background color that helps the overall image to "pop".
