this looks painted rather than photographed.

i like the contrast between the dark, foreboding, restless foreground and the calm and smoothly pastel coloured background. and that sudden, hard transition between dark and light makes it poetic, yes. nice photo.

this was photographed with a long lens with long shutter at a section of Tamagawa River that falls a couple of feet, causing the rush of water
