After 2 weeks with no subjects, I "had to" resort back to the house sparrows at the Golden Arches(McDonald's) this morning. Coffee was good and a few sparrows posed for the MkIIN and 400mm w/25mm extension tube. EXIF intact, all at ISO 400
#1 mockingbird is actually from yesterday, I slightly missed eye focus, but still liked the pose and his position amongst the color

Dave, this is an excellent series--lighting, composition and exposure are top notch.
I think I like # 4 the best.
You have me going to MacDonald on my day off--although I go on down to the water from there--as they don't have any birds in the parking lot here!
Good work--enjoyed them!
Not only exceptional photography in every regard, Dave, the variery of marking on the birds, the colors, and poses and BGs really sing in this series. Always a pleasure to view your exceptional work my friend!
