Hi Kevin:
FLS owns the kit now, and only one has been completed using the new Russian Engine. Not many of the originals either - 1 Coors light plane crashed.

Glenn

Great shots of the bird. It has always been a favorite of mine. I had an R/C version for a while (pusher prop) that I loved. Was a bear to fly, but still very fun. Sad that so few are around.

Hats off, ladies and gentlemen: Glenn keeps raising the bar.

Interesting light, Glenn: between layers, or just a high cirrus deck?

Hi Steve:

Both + fog. it was dreamland stuff.. This is how my Bonanza looked from about 100 feet away during our briefing where we decided to postpone temporarily.

Well, I'm sure we're all glad you postponed it and didn't cancel it! That's some fog...

Never seen anything like it. From clear to that in a span of about 15 minutes. Then when it finally broke and we were taxiing out we had to hold short for 15 minutes while a gaggle of about 1000 Pelicans migrating slowly down the active runway.

Hang Loose in Florida Lady Jo!

Now that is up close and personal, Glenn. Fabulous series, by the way.

Bit the bullet and jumped into After Effects (solved the gross dust speck problem in my earlier video "Night Harbor")

Here's a little side by side comparison of the image stabilization you can do in After Effects. I'm told it uses the same engine that's available in Premiere, but analyzes more deeply and finds more reference points. You'll notice that it doesn't solve all the issues of dSLR video (there's still some "jelly" effect near the end on the pitch up) but it does remove the gross off center issues quite nicely.

From raw footage to AE to Premiere to posting in about 20 minutes.

Thanks Colin and Mark. Not sure exactly when I will get it scheduled, I have to have a certain code in order to schedule, so not sure when I'll get that. Once I do, I have to allow for a four hour window for taking the test, both a written and a skills test. Getting there slowly but surely.

Andy, I'll be there with the ISAP entourage on Wednesday afternoon and Friday. I assume Jan-Arie will be doing the same thing (J-A, did you book the pre-symposium trip?). Not sure how much freedom we'll have during those times, although I do hope to be able to escape for an hour to find a few non-ISAP friends :-)

Is it just me and J-A going to ISAP?

Terrific work Glenn. I got to meet Justin last October when he was flying one of the API micro jets out of Gila Bend Air Force Auxillary Field during WTI. That has to be the smallest cockpit I've ever seen. I left that day thinking that Justin can fly just about anything with wings

Jo, that has got to be the finest Lancair that I've ever seen. The lines are exceptional and your post processing treatment is the cherry on top. Have fun at the ISAP symposium. Kiss Larry for me
