Yes Wrei, they fit that profile perfectly. This group appeared to be too lazy to duck out for an occasional "occupy" something protest. "Dude, there's no proof that pot zaps one's motivation.................."

Coming off of my 22 hour day yesterday, I view that ethic with no small degree of revulsion. Eventually, someone probably got a free grilled chicken sandwich this afternoon though.

Prior to the air show yesterday, I had contacted Ttown Aubie in order to get together for the show. When I arrived at the show, I called Joe to see where he was. At that time, he hadn't arrived but would be there soon. I called Joe back several minutes later and during that call, I noticed the screen on my phone being very dark which made it almost impossible for me to make the call. After I got home, I immediately plugged my phone up to recharge and saw that the battery was fine. After checking the settings, I found out that the Auto Brightness setting had been turned off, possibly during an update on several apps that I have. It is now back to normal.
When I made the second call, Joe was there with his father about 150' away from me. After the usual introductions and hand shaking, we got down to the business of enjoying the show. Later, Joe and his father went to get something to eat and they wound up meeting some family members, so that was the last that I saw of them. I enjoyed the time we spent together and I look forward to the next show when we can maybe meet up again. After the Heritage flight with Crazy Horse and the F-22, I decided to head for home rather than fight the huddled masses trying to escape the air show grounds all at the same time. I must say that I kinda wish I had stayed for the Blue Angels just to try and get some vapor shots. The F-22 produced some nice vapor and that was a bonus for me considering that I had never seen the F-22 in person. All in all, I enjoyed the show and being able to share the experience with a fellow MA2Aer made that even better.

I like how you kick back Jim. Steve, your aerials from Canyonlands are amazing. I just wish I could make the stereo thing work for me.

I was visiting the Salt Lake City cemetery this past Sunday and found this wonderful monument to a youngster being liberated from his mortal limitations and challenges. It had an emotional impact on me. I sat on the grass and contemplated my three wonderfully healthy grandchildren. I am truly blessed.

I am really digging the mirror imaged shots of late stevez. Some of them even look somewhat alien to me. Have you considered doing the mirrored images as 3D. I believe that would look very interesting.

Couple of mine from the Tuscaloosa show on Sunday.

Got to meet one of our members Colin. Enjoyed shooting with him for a little while.

One thing I have noticed on several of my shots is that no matter how much sharpening I apply, the shot still looks soft. I don't know if the 1.7 teleconverter is at fault on its own. I did notice that the 70-200 lens was rocking some on the teleconverter, so I checked it a few minutes ago and all of the screws on the front end were loose. They have now been tightened up, but I will have to keep a check on that from now on. I can see a little ghosting and a little haloing around the F-22 shot above and that is not the only one that is like that. Could that be from the loose screws (the lens, not me)? I think that the halo and ghosting have occurred before, even when the screws were tight.

Thanks, Colin and Jeff!

I don't believe I can do the mirrored images as stereo pairs: too many variables. But I'll try one, just for grins.

Very touching indeed Jeff. While it is a human oxymoron, sometimes it's a bit frightening just how blessed we are.

Glad you like the beach shots. Guess it's a true measure of my love of the craft that after a 22 hour day of shooting, I relax by ...............uh, sticking a 500 on a camera and shooting some more
