We do celebrate Christmas and Easter.
Hope you have a great time with the family.
Sorry no photo as I am already in bed....

I've been helping Sheila and doing a couple of things around the house today because we celebrate Thanksgiving today, Tomorrow begins the Christmas transformation (annual decorating marathon).

Received three emails today adding a large aircraft completion, and six architectural projects to the calendar. For the first time, I may really truly need an assistant on the aircraft shoot. Unfortunately it will be the usual extremely short notice time frame and it will last 3 or 4 days. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do, location hasn't been decided, might be in the Middle East, lots still in play.

Anyone have first hand knowledge of the quality of the Nikon 45 and 90 PCE lenses? I need to do a little research. I really don't want to buy the Canon versions at this point, but I might have to if they are sharper. Schneider just came out with a 90 that is supposed to be unreal. Excellence isn't ever inexpensive, in this case it's about four grand.

Just read that Nikon's stock is in first place on the Nikkei underperform list for 2013, down 23.6% on an exchange that is up over 40% for the year. They just don't have all those other products that shelter Canon's bottom line.

FYI Jim I remember something about when the D800 came out that it did not work well with Nikon's PCE (till and shift lens).
Found this on Nikons web sight.

hope this helps.

Thunder Over Utah will feature the Blue Angels again next year. They held it in March the first time, in 2012, and experienced winter weather that kept the crowds away and made everyone who was there miserable (except for Steve2, who thought it was just a nice Alberta spring weekend ). So to compensate they've scheduled it this time for the last weekend of July.

Can you say "115, in the shade"?

Thanks Paul,

I bought that one when I picked up my first D800 body, it has performed beautifully. I was always pleased with Canon's T/S line up, just don't want to build my Canon gear much further if I'm going to shift the balance toward Nikon next year. I'm guessing the rest of the Nikon Pc line up is of equal quality.

Haven't had much to shoot or talk about lately here while I get my ship righted a bit, but braved the cold for a little one off today. In the gear dept I was prepared, but this Texas boy just can't get used to the cold.

Whew Zim TOU will be a bear in July. Not enough sunscreen and water to make that tolerable.

And while we're near the water, how about a DC-3 on amphibious floats? See a water landing and ramp exit starting at 4:45.

Wisdom I learned in my youth that helps me every day of my life;

When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed,

When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,

Count your many blessings; name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

Count your many blessings; ev'ry doubt will fly,

And you will be singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,

Think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold.

Count your many blessings; money cannot buy

Your reward in heaven nor your home on high.

Count your blessings; Name them one by one.

Count your blessings; See what God hath done.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my MA2A friends
