Thanks, Jeff. I'm partial to #1, myself. The soft early light really shows off the state of the Wildcat's surface finishes.
Jay and I were the shooters on the first flight of the day in Scott Slocum's A36, lifting off just after dawn. The subjects were to have been the Oscar and the Wildcat, but the Oscar developed radio troubles and we launched with only the Wildcat to shoot. The Oscar pilot jumped in the Corsair and chased us down 30 minutes into the flight; we had only one circle with both subjects before heading back in to swap shooters. There were five flights, ten shooters in all; the two warbird pilots refueled twice, Scott once. Quite a logistical feat.
