An odd day for me at Farnborough yesterday. I went with my camera club to the pub at the incoming end of the runway (I usually go to the QinetiQ car park at the other end). Definitely not as good a photography site as QinetiQ as over a residential area so most aerobatics at other end over (for London commuter belt!) fairly open country, but good company, a bar, and barbeque instead!! Boeing 787 and Poseidon withdrawn from show "in respect for 777 in Ukraine" and Red Arrows display curtailed about 2/3 way through because of bird strike to Red 8 (their third in two weeks!). Very overcast/intermittent rain this morning so probably won't go today but good forecast for Sunday and Super Connie and Canberra are flying, so will probably be in QinetiQ again. Anyway, here are a few from Friday at Farnborough:
The Avro Anson (only flying one in the world) from the Shuttleworth Trust
Spanish Sea Harrier
Red Arrows Red 8 landing after the bird strike - no obvious damage visible.
And, to end, The Mighty Vulcan!
