Just picked up an Airbus 330 in late May, and a ten day shoot in northern Florida in late June. Baddabing/baddaboom!

Coincidentally, I'll be in northern FL in mid-late June...for my daughter's wedding. I think the cash flow proposition is a bit different.

That's a great looking helicopter Steve. They have the 0360 derated to 145 hp, that's not working that engine very hard, should be very durable. Why aren't they approaching the US market? Much cooler looking than a Robinson. What do they sell for?

Oh yeah, I remember, it's all outflow. Sheila and Jennifer kept playing the jail scene from Father of the Bride for me, just so I'd keep things in perspective. Be careful, that walk down the aisle is a killer, even if you love the guy at the other end.

Spell check just doesn't want you to use the slang for helicopter!

Could do with some advice please:

I shot a video at 1920 x 1440 on the Gopro. This is 4:3 ratio.
I'm doing my editing in Photoshop CC., and everything looks to be in the proper aspect ratio.

When I render the video, I have HD, 1.33 ratio and the pixel size selected as per the actual video size.

However the exported video looks squashed vertically and stretched horizontally, as if it is trying to put it to 1920 x 1080 or 16:9 ratio.

Anyone got any ideas as to how I can get my video to export correctly?

It's how to manage a smooth yawing motion while tracking down the runway parallel to your subject aircraft that perplexes me: that would require some mad piloting skills...and you'd still have an ever-changing bank angle due to how the DJI manages translation motion off-axis to the camera's pitch gimbal.

Mad piloting skills - thats what I wanted to hear! Now who has them??

I like the Vaporizer shot. The ones I got at the last Tuscaloosa air show had nice vapor, but I just could not get a crisp shot. Maybe someday.

Are you watching it on a 4:3 monitor? Sounds like you need to "letterbox" your video so the 4:3 part in the middle stays 4:3 despite being on a 16:9 monitor.

Yes, it's a simple solution. Choose square pixel ratio and not 1.33. That is referring to pixel shape not the aspect ratio, which is why your exported video is being distorted.

It's a somewhat archaic option now since it was designed for working with DV and HDV footage. Anything captured digitally, even scanned film, will have square pixels. Anything on tape can vary.

Jake,

Thanks. I'll try rendering the video again & see if that makes a difference.
