Liberty Hill....

count me in for whatever and a 58 Baron sounds like a great "just getting around" machine, and at only 25 gph!

These projects remind me of the old quip about how one goes about eating an elephant, "one bite at a time". Sometimes I walk into a home that's 7 or 8 thousand square feet and the light is all over the place, it's a little daunting. I have to calm myself down, remind myself that it's not a timed event, it's all about the quality of the imagery. I unpack and start to get to know the spaces, their personalities and how they change as the day and night wear on. I literally, mentally "move in" to a project for the duration. However long it takes, it takes.

Well I better pack it in. Chandler wants to hit the hangar early in the am and get an hour or so of Cub time in before the equestrian events begin!

Congrats, Steve. I remembered instantly what image that was. I know the mystery is part of its charm, but did you ever find out what was going on with her?

A gentleman does not kiss and tell, and a photographer does not reveal trade secrets.

In this case, however, there is no secret: as I've said before, I lucked into another photographer's shoot. He was in a second rowing skiff out of frame to camera right. I think I had the better angle.

I am very proud to inform the MA2A family that my photography has been featured in the latest issue of f11 Magazine. I am only the second aviation oriented photographer to be featured - photography icon Paul Bowen being the first. To say that puts me in some very elite company would be a massive understatement. I am more than humbled. I'd truly appreciate it if you'd take a few minutes to read the article and give me your thoughts and impressions.

Jeff,
Obviously it was your ever so elegant avatar that grabbed them :-)
Having had a quick look through the article on line my immediate thought is I have either missed a lot of your work or you have been holding out on us.
Have it bookmarked till I can get more time to study them. Congratulations. You have every right to feel pleased with your self

IIRC, I believe Scott's using an NFlight in his tail cone and not a GoPro. Either way, pretty sure Glenn is correct in that it's a "start it and go fly" thing without any remote control.

Good Morning Laura,

This is a tangled web for certain, but refusing a bi-racial couple would be very hard to justify from a Christian perspective. I'd have to say that would be a decision made on racism, not religious conviction. Scripture makes the definition of marriage about as clear as it can be. While I firmly believe that people should have the freedom and right to make decisions like same sex marriage, without judgement form others, I don't think someone should be coerced into being a part of such an event if it is contrary to their faith. Aw Jim

Dont be like that.
This evening, Just around the corner there is the umpteenth Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade
I will admit though, I am exercising my rights as a citizen of Australia to ignore it yet again despite the fact that my mothers sister married one of yours who flew in the battle of the Coral Sea and then waited to the late 1960's to "come out" and come out he did in a big way. Who'ed a thought it I can hear you think but you would never have met a finer person than JJA.
Quite agree with you expressing your right not to be coerced, but having been involved with JJA and and his friends on a social level it is very hard to be judgmental and no, I have no intention of walking around the corner this evening to have a look.

Hi Glenn,

I remember that Scott was showing me the modified tailbone, but I missed what he was using to control the camera. I'll have to ask him how that all worked out. All that could be done with the Phase One as well. Pretty cool substitute for a Mitchell, but really, as you well know, there is no substitute for sitting in that tail and shooting it real time. The little nuances and adjustments that you do instinctively as you're shooting.

Gents,

I saw some old 1980's photos taken the other day and the device used to get them was quite impressive. I'll email you details over the weekend, but could definitely lead to some cool stuff.

J-A just a left field kinda idea.... I got more gear in my bag by not mounting a lens on either camera body. YMMV

Mm have shift around but I think the 70-200 in combo with the 2.0 III will succeed then it's a f/5.6 the same as the 100-400

+1
I have a Tamrac Big Wheels Speed Roller 5591 and it won't take my 500 F4 but as (at present) I prefer 300 2.8 + converter anyway, that's not an issue
