Something for the video guys to drool over. These guys were doing the super slomo work for the broadcast. Red Epic HD with the new Canon C Series 30-300 2.95-3.7:

The only thing that jars me a little about that image, Jay, is the text under it. The difference in vertical spacing between lines 1-2 and then lines 2-3 is too much to look uniform, but too little to look deliberate. Somehow it just looks untidy and "off" to me. A little crowded, too.

The image itself looks beautiful.

Jay, what about the shot from a couple of days ago with the two Mustangs in escort? Do you have that one up yet? All I could find was a similar shot from your original series, but only 3 of the Fortress's engines are visible on that one.

Thanks Jim! Hope today was a fun birthday for you.

David, love the bird on the feeder, figured by the beak that it was some sort of woodpecker.

Rich, yup, I don't miss California either, was very glad to see it in the rear view mirror when we left.

Erich, some other time for sure. First things first.

Thank you all for the kind wishes! I woke up to Sheila singing a Beatles song, "When I'm 64.........." and cinnamon rolls with candles in them. We realized today that we have been in love 50 years of our 63/64 years, my biggest blessing in a long list of big blessings.

Today was an outstanding day in every way. Our early am birthday breakfast was interrupted for a few minutes by a call telling me I had been selected as photographer for a series of commercial architecture assignments. A dozen initially, with another dozen to follow as soon as they are completed. That put the icing on my cinnamon rolls! Then a short meeting in Addison, followed by a meeting at HQ that included our esteemed friend and colleague Jeremy Boyd, what a treat! It's too early to give you the complete skinny on what this meeting was all about, I will be able to talk more about it in a week or two. Right now, the sketch involves our military heroes, some of their top leadership, the CEO's of a number of Fortune 100 firms, a raft of today's top musical talent, 60,000 attendees, and last, and most assuredly least, the "Director of Photography" ..............me. The spearhead for this operation called me about an hour ago to ask if I would accept the responsibility for visually communicating what is about to begin taking place shortly, culminating in quite an event late this year. Whew! Still trying to get my arms around what that responsibility will entail.

At any rate, thank you all again, a happy birthday indeed!

Oh yeah, and I found this neat parking space that is pretty much always vacant. I figured that there's not a Tesla closer than Miami or Colorado and I'm pretty sure my Landcruiser has electricity in it.........................

I'm sure that one (or similar) will find its way into the Gallery gallery.

I'm going to try and just "dribble" that gallery for a bit but I'm always willing to take special orders!
