It's true: when I landed at 3:00pm in Page, Jay was there to meet me. There were some nasty, gusty crosswinds on landing: first time I've rejected a landing in the Remos since I don't know when. Anyway, the light when I landed was just awful: a high cirrus deck had cut off the sun and the hazy air didn't help much, either. But we repaired to the hotel and kept an eye on the weather: when a break in the cloud deck loomed on the northwest horizon, we rolled out to the airfield and launched about 40 minutes before sunset. The first ten minutes and the last ten minutes, the light was still for s__t, but the twenty or so minutes in the middle were exactly what was meant when they said, "f/8 and be there!".
Lots of stuff in the can, can't wait to see it all. Here's a taste of golden hour on the shores of Lake Powell...
