. Blame spring break. I was home that week, minding my own business, relaxing, got up and started walking, and my foot made contact with a very full bag of Craftsman tools. Needless to say, a few choice words escaped my lips. After a few hours in pain, I made my way to the ER, and got outfitted with one of those lovely orthopedic shoes after an xray. Xray didn't show any breaks, but they said to come back in two weeks if I was still having difficulty. Two weeks later, there I was, back again, more xrays, weight bearing this time, and still no break visible. Came home with some Prednisone to take, and still wearing the shoe, and told to call back in a week if there was still no improvement. So... the injection was the radioactive isotope to show up in the bone scan, and I now have a nice image of my skeletal system, front and back, as well as a couple of views of my lower legs and feet. . There's definitely a really bright star on my toes, so I will wait to see what they say when they get the radiologist's report.
