I've contributed about 300 grand to the Friedkin group with my Land Cruiser purchases. They also have a huge game ranch in Africa, a passel of GV's. They get a percentage of every Toyota and Toyota part that comes through the Port of Houston.......not a bad gig.

I've been buying Toyota's from Gulf States since 1975. Guess I helped too!

A quick shoot on my favorite little South Carolina lake..............."water to water" . You'll have to take my word for it, but there's a full disc underneath the stern of that runabout

an idea in to what it takes for the logistics of the MotoGP races (can you tell I'm getting excited?):

Freight for overseas races in 2013 – the facts:

- 3 Boeing 747 jumbo jets will transport equipment, including BMW M safety cars

- 600 giant containers will be filled with material

- 40 trucks will be used for trips to and from international airports

- Just under 90,000 kilometres (56,000 miles) will be completed in the air in 2013

- Anything between 260-270 tonnes of equipment will be flown to each race

The freight includes bikes and team gear (180 tonnes), Dorna’s TV equipment (50 tonnes), promotional and advertising tools (23 tonnes) and timing equipment (7 tonnes).

You know what happens when you get a CEO, the editor of Forbes Magazine, the owner of a major ad agency, two art directors and a boat demonstration pilot together?..........................................That would be craziness..........

'February' was featured in a terrific film, Gray Eagles, made by long-time pilot and filmmaker Chris Woods. Saw it at OSH two or three years ago: highly recommended.

Oh I can go one better than that Zim. A certain Saudi Potentate had his Airbus buckles engraved with his family crest, in platinum with gold plating. Now were way past the 1% and well into the .001%. Nice to have those names on the client list! And, even nicer to get some of my gas money back, well, all of it........come to think of it, all of it that I've ever spent....um, and probably ever will.

Actually, that's another interesting story. When I bid these projects it's always a good idea to remind them, subtly, that I have three decades of experience working in and around these aircraft. A few years ago I lost an assignment to a guy who bid the job for $1,500 less. I ended up shooting the project after he attempted it,the client lost interest in the low bid after the photographer melted a window on a new GIV. Turns out, at $27,500 plus install, low bid was not really "low bid". One tripod leg bump on a section of that hand rubbed cabinet of pure unobtainium, one poorly placed bulb, one slip of any proportion and the tens of thousands roll up in the blink of an eye. That's not even considering the cost of delaying the delivery of the aircraft, the thought of it makes me weak in the knees.

I like those Interior shots very much Jim, the only thing i sometimes don't get is why everything has to be gold plated I know that those clients have enough money and most important It's their money but i think it sometimes a little obvious.
(you don't have to react to this post if you don't want to because client costumer relations ship etc ).

But do you know? how is the sound level inside when flying something like that, is it the same like on a airliner or is it more sound proofed?
Just curious should be very nice to fly in or on one of these.

Yeah, it would be sweet. Just on the short sweet spot when the sun illuminates only the highest points of the rough surface. Darn, I need to find a plane to shoot!

Just have to admire your work, Jim. How many lights do you have need for that long interior?
